We are seeking to establish a pool of Kindergarten to Year 6 (K-6) Teachers for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2026 school year. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.

The Role
We are seeking innovative, enthusiastic teaching professionals across a broad range of year levels from K – 6 and specialist areas such as Science and Technology, Visual Arts, Physical Education and Intervention. Suitable applicants should be conscientious and dedicated who possess a commitment to excellence in teaching and learning. They will ideally demonstrate a clear understanding in instructional practices, including both explicit teaching and inquiry-based learning. They should also demonstrate knowledge of analysing student data and implementing evidence-based practices to improve outcomes for students.

Weld Square PS values the importance of student voice for planning effective and engaging lessons and uses Teaching for Impact to maximise learning outcomes for all students. Knowledge of Heggerty, UFLI, Ochre Maths, Cars and Stars, Literacy Pro and use of Daily Reviews would be beneficial.

Suitable applicants will put student learning and wellbeing at the centre of their work. Teachers who thrive as part of a team that implements consistent whole school approaches will be highly regarded.

We are an established PBS (Positive Behaviour Support) school and use a range of programs that support EALD students.

Suitable applicants will ideally be committed to restorative and reflective teaching practices through active participation in a culture of professional growth. This may include ongoing opportunities for coaching, classroom observation and feedback as well as teachers who are committed to their own professional learning to ensure they maintain and build on contemporary, evidence-based approaches.   • consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education's Screening Unit before you start.
