We are seeking a qualified Driving Instructor to join our team, delivering quality safe and defensive driving techniques to learner drivers of all ages, diversities, and ethnicities.

If you are Not Yet Qualified as a Driving Instructor for NSW, we would still love to hear from you and review ways we can support your certification in return for a contract term of employment.

Company Background:

Founded by a retired NSW Police Officer with over 20 years experience in traffic and emergency response, we are underpinned by the ethos of providing more than just a 'pass the driving test' experience.

Rather, we go beyond that with 90 minute lessons to provide the learner further information about the vehicle set up and safety, use multiple education tools to emphasise safe driving including bollards for vehicle maneuvering, emergency braking techniques, and video resources to support lesson feedback notes.

Your Background:

Ideally you will have a passion for road safety, from either a first responder background, or just knowledge that the current road toll can be reduced by informative education.

Job Requirements: - Full training in systems and processes will be provided

Daily job requirements include use of a dual control fully branded vehicle, maintaining it to a clean and serviceable standard, traveling to learner pickup points between Tweed Heads, Pottsville, and Murwillumbah (and in between) to conduct 90-minute driving lessons.

Completion and operation of 'Booking Times' booking platform that is largely automated, ability to communicate calmly with a diverse range of people from 16 years old to 80 years old with respect, clarity, and ability to identify and overcome barriers to communication and learning.

Reporting to the Founder, you will be able to work unsupervised to provide the 1 on 1 lessons with the students while having the support at all time if required. End of day duties will see completion of student notes, any issues reported and a debrief if required.

You will bring your enthusiasm for engaging with learners and providing them with positive ways to enhance their road safety and awareness of hazards, to offer the defensive driving techniques while preparing them for the driving test and the daily test of driving safely.

Renumeration:

Hourly rate will be on negotiation depending on skillset and experience for a trial period, then subject to review and increase, starting at above award rates of $38.00 per hour plus 12% superannuation.
