As we continue to grow across Melbourne and Sydney, our Minto location is looking for a skilled Chef to join our team.

Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Woking hour: 38hr/week.

Salary: $75,000 - $80,000 annually commensurate with experience.

Requirements:

· Holds Certificate IV or Diploma

· The ability to stand for extended periods

· The ability to work under pressure

· The ability to follow instructions

· Excellent organizational and time management skills

· Effective communication skills

· Exceptional customer service skills

Responsibilities of Chef:

Experienced Required: 2+ years

· Prepare and cook Fat Jak's menu items to a consistent, high standard.

· Maintain food safety, hygiene, and workplace health standards.

· Assist with stock management, ordering, and waste control.

· Support menu development and contribute creative ideas.

· Work collaboratively with kitchen and front-of-house staff.

· Train and guide junior staff when required.

· Supervising food service of functions

· Monitoring and controlling wastage, portion control on a day-to-day basis

· Responsible to ensure food safety and kitchen sanitation as per the norm

· Responsible for kitchen maintenance

· Safe handling and storage of food items at the relevant recommended temperatures.

· Rotating stock on FIFO basis including meat, poultry, seafood, vegetables, and dry goods

· Communicating effectively with and supporting other kitchen team members and restaurant staff.
