About the Role

This is a unique opportunity to join a dynamic and collaborative research team within the Centre for Clinical and Experimental Transplantation (CCET), based across the Royal Adelaide Hospital and the University of Adelaide, in the heart of the Adelaide Biomedical Precinct. As a Research Assistant, you will play a vital part in advancing human immunology research, particularly supporting the MRFF-funded SIR ZOSTER clinical trial. This study explores how immunosuppressive drugs impact the immune response to the Shingrix vaccine in transplant recipients — work that has real-world potential to improve health outcomes.

In this hands-on laboratory role, you'll develop and refine a broad range of research skills, including the processing and analysis of clinical samples, coordination with trial teams, biobanking, and immunological assays such as ELISA and flow cytometry. You'll be supported by experienced researchers as you grow your technical expertise and increase your independence in a collaborative, innovative, and purpose-driven environment. This is an exciting role for someone looking to build a career in biomedical research while contributing to life-changing scientific discovery.

  • Possess sound knowledge of human biology and basic laboratory practices
