Job Description
The Opportunity
An exciting part-time opportunity (3-4 days per week) exists for an experienced Communications and Content Specialist to join the Navitas Skilled Futures Marketing team. Reporting to the Director of Marketing (NSF), this role is responsible for managing all internal and external communication requirements, producing high-quality written content, and delivering public relations activities in alignment with the marketing strategy.
The ideal candidate will be a strong writer and strategic communicator, capable of developing content that enhances brand reputation, strengthens stakeholder engagement, and supports the organisation's broader business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement and manage communication initiatives aligned with NSF's marketing strategy.
- Produce clear, engaging, and accurate written content for digital, media, and internal platforms.
- Lead public relations activities, including media outreach and press release development.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure consistent and effective messaging.
- Contribute to campaign development and the production of marketing collateral.
- Monitor and report on communication outcomes to inform continuous improvement.
Qualifications
Essential:
- Tertiary qualification in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a hands-on communications, journalism, or marketing role.
- Demonstrated experience producing professional written content across multiple channels.
- Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Highly organised, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
- Positive, proactive, and solution-focused attitude.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
Desirable:
- Experience in PR pitching and media liaison.
- Experience within the education or government sector.
- Working knowledge of WordPress and/or Campaign Monitor.
- Ability to interpret and report on communication and marketing data.
