Eagle Drilling NQ is seeking a candidate that is interested in commencing and completing a Diesel Fitter Apprenticeship here in Charters Towers, QLD.  If you are mechanical minded and are looking for opportunity to become trade qualified, then please apply. Eagle Drilling NQ, a North Queensland locally owned and operated Exploration Drilling contractor, with various drilling projects in the Queensland region, currently has the opportunity to support an apprentice through their trade journey, based in Charters Towers, QLD.

The Charters Towers region is a live with an amazing living history thriving on Mining, Agriculture, Education and many other business opportunities and appeals to many from the young, to the young at heart. The region boasts a great laidback lifestyle with easy access to Townsville and the reef only 130kms away.

To be considered a candidate for this role, it is essential that you possess the following qualities, skills and qualifications -

Key Requirements of Candidate

  • Hard working, honest, reliable team player, with good communication skills.
  • Current QLD driver's license
  • Understand and adopt the importance of Workplace health and safety
  • Pass a pre-employment medical, functional assessment and drug screen
  • Satisfactory Police clearance (3 months)
  • Applicant must reside in Charters Towers or be committed to relocating
  • Must have the approved rights to work in Australia

  • We encourage new 1st, 2nd and 3rd Year apprentices to apply.
  • We encourage you to apply, if you have a trade in another field, and wish to become dual qualified.
