About the Role

As part of our Finance Team, your primary purpose will be to support the finance function across 21 underwriting agencies and a services company. This is a hands-on role focused on executing daily operations and month-end processes, while contributing to strategic initiatives and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare monthly management reports for review by the Financial Controller and Chief Financial Officer
  • Complete timely and accurate monthly balance sheet reconciliations
  • Support the onboarding of acquisitions and new startups
  • Assist the Financial Controller, CFO, and Executive Directors across the group
  • Build strong partnerships with companies within the group
  • Develop a deep understanding of agency underwriting and finance systems
  • Design and refine processes to improve data accuracy and reporting efficiency
  • Implement new technologies to support diverse business and stakeholder needs

The Successful Candidate Will Have

  • A degree in Accounting and CPA/CA qualification (or working towards)
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role
  • Insurance industry experience – Insurer, Underwriting Agency or Broker
  • High-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Strong attention to detail and commercial acumen
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • A collaborative mindset and ability to work under pressure
  • Strong organisational and time management capabilities
