Our Opportunity

We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Bayswater, WA. This is a hands-on role combining technical expertise, client engagement, and project execution. You'll work on high-impact projects, provide tailored technical solutions, and identify opportunities for operational improvements.

Key Responsibilities

In this dynamic role, you will:

• Strategy: Provide technical support, including on-site troubleshooting and problem-solving and conduct site audits and performance reviews of conveyor systems to identify areas for improvement.
• Execution: Document findings, including detailed site visit reports and actionable recommendations.
• Culture: Collaborate with internal teams, including drafting and sales, to scope and deliver client requirements.
• Planning: Prepare estimates, specifications, and technical documentation to support project execution.
• Communication: Engage directly with clients, fostering strong relationships and delivering tailored solutions.

About you

To be successful in this role, you will be a:

• Skilled Professional: A degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline with 3+ years of experience in heavy industry, ideally with exposure to conveyor systems or mining equipment.
• Technically experienced: Proficiency in AutoCAD, Inventor, SolidWorks, or similar parametric 3D design software and a solid understanding of industry standards (e.g., AS4100, AS1418, AS1170).
• Strategic thinker: Strong analytical skills, with experience in performing calculations and FEA analysis with a proactive approach to identifying opportunities and driving continuous improvement.
• Strong Communicator: Excellent communication and client relationship skills.
• Relentless bias to action: You're passionate about getting things done, whilst being entrepreneurial and professional.
