Head of People & Capability – Fisher & Paykel Australia

The Opportunity
As the Head of People & Capability Australia you will be the strategic partner to the Chief Operating Officer and the Australian Senior Leadership Team. You will be responsible for implementing, enabling and delivering initiatives and practices that contribute to achieving both short and long-term goals, playing a critical role in ensuring Fisher & Paykel Appliances achieves number one market position for F&P and Haier brands in Australia.
You will implement talent, leadership and culture initiatives aligned to the Global P&C shared imperatives. Act as a coach to business leaders to create a culture of high performance and lead sustainable change. The role requires you to work collaboratively with our internal People & Capability Centres of Excellence in New Zealand to ensure effective and consistent delivery of globally aligned strategies and practices.

So, who are you?
You'll be a focused leader with broad experience across people and culture roles; you will be a strategic positioner who is able to think and act from the outside/in and is able to translate external business trends into internal organisational actions.
You will lead a small but mighty local team to ensure alignment to the global strategy execution. You will clearly understand how to translate leading goals into business and health plans and initiatives, apply system thinking to solve business and change problems and be an excellent communicator, able to convey messages appropriate to the context.
You will be able to perform at a very high level both strategically and operationally, with a passion for driving strategy, putting structured plans in place to achieve our strategic imperatives and have a strong financial understanding and analytical skills.
You will be able to influence behavioural change in self and others aligned to our values and behaviours and be able to effectively facilitate organisational design and workplace planning to address key capability needs. You will be recognised by other leaders as a key contributor and influence and is sought out for advice.
