Experienced Support Worker – Casual / Ad Hoc Shifts

Community Support Squad – Melbourne, VIC

Hourly Rate: $32–$40 + penalty rates (weekends, public holidays, evenings)

Employment Type: Casual (ad hoc shifts, with potential for ongoing work as client base grows)

The Role

We're on the lookout for an experienced Support Worker with solid mental health experience to join our squad.

You'll be the go-to person for meaningful, person-centered support, helping clients live their best lives from daily living and personal care to community outings and goal-kicking.

Your Day Might Include:

  • Building genuine relationships and providing emotional support
  • Assisting with personal care, meal prep, and household tasks
  • Helping clients access the community (appointments, social activities, events)
  • Keeping clear and accurate shift documentation
  • Working towards client goals and encouraging independence
  • Collaborating with families, care teams, and other stakeholders

About You

You're reliable, caring, and thrive in a team that's passionate about making a difference.

You bring hands-on experience supporting people with mental health challenges and behaviours of concern and you do it with empathy, patience, and a sense of humour when it's needed most.

What You'll Need:

  • NDIS Worker Screening Check & Police Check
  • WWCC
  • NDIS Worker Orientation Module
  • Current First Aid & CPR certificate
  • Valid driver's licence + reliable car
  • Certificate III (Individual Support, Disability or similar)
  • Proven experience in mental health & behaviours of concern
  • Two professional references
