Role Highlights- Develop and implement Sustainability strategies, policies and initiatives
- Lead and leverage consultation with internal and external stakeholders
- Assess sustainability issues, collaborate to create initiatives and projects
The Sustainability Project Manager is responsible for developing and implementing AGSA's sustainability agenda and ensuring it aligns with AGSA's overall strategy, mission and values, namely its goal to achieve carbon neutral readiness. This role will lead in the development and implementation of AGSA's Sustainability Action Plan. The Sustainability Project Manager will collaborate with staff across AGSA to plan initiatives to improve AGSA's social and environmental performance, manage environmental risk and compliance, develop projects and cultivate funding sources, and engage staff and external stakeholders.
Special Conditions- The Incumbent will be required to participate in the department's Performance Management Program.
- The Incumbent may be assigned to another position at this remuneration level or equivalent.
- Some work outside of normal hours will be required.
- Some interstate travel involving overnight absences will be required.
- This role requires a National Criminal History check.
Essential Criteria:
- Appropriate tertiary qualification or relevant, equivalent professional experience in sustainability policy development, management of social and environmental risk, and environmental management and/or related disciplines.
