Join us as our new full time Brief Intervention Clinician working in our headspace centre in Redcliffe.

This is an invaluable opportunity for an early-career mental health specialist, to work as a clinician with a toolkit of interventions provided and support from the team.

The Brief Intervention Program is offered to people with mild to moderate presentations or who will benefit from skill building or less intensive intervention. You will deliver structured, evidence-based interventions to young people aged 12-25 years, to improve mental health and wellbeing. You'll be a real 'people person', love working with a wide range of people, and in particular, you will thrive when engaging with -and advocating for- young people.

To be successful you'll need:

  • Tertiary qualifications in health, behavioural/social sciences, community services, or a related discipline.
  • A sound understanding and knowledge of assessing and working with young people experiencing mental health difficulties.
  • Experience in the delivery of brief therapeutic interventions for a variety of mental health issues.
  • Knowledge and understanding of mental health, including related evidence-based interventions and clinical practice.
