Project Manager

About the Role:

We are currently seeking a Project Manager to join us on a 12-month fixed-term contract. The Project Manager will manage the delivery of both business and IT application deliverables for a growing pipeline of strategic projects. This role requires a professional with a solid background in end-to-end project delivery and business analysis, particularly with regard to business processes and the development of IT business applications. The Project Manager will facilitate, guide and lead as necessary a cross-functional group of project team members and stakeholders to define, plan and deliver solutions and outcomes that directly

impact the success of the business.

Primary Responsibilities include:

• Develop and maintain accurate project plans that reflect the needs and constraints of stakeholder groups and delivery teams.
• Define and implement appropriate controls to manage the project through the stages of development.
• Create and maintain appropriate management artefacts including plans, task lists, registers.
• Monitor project progress continuously and proactively manage risks, issues and stakeholder concerns
• Make accurate scheduled reports on the status of milestones, deliverables, issues and risks.
• Co-ordinate the activities of the project team and functional team leaders and ensure all are working effectively towards project goals.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and understanding of project goals, timelines, and deliverables.
• Facilitate stakeholder meetings and ensure that all stakeholders are kept informed of project progress.
• Guide and lead the creation of business and non-system project deliverables.
• Foster a collaborative environment that ensures clear goals and participation between the core project team and stakeholder groups.
• Facilitate communication across the project team to assess options, overcome barriers and make effective decisions.

About You

Technical Skills:

• Ability to develop structured and detailed project plans that include tasks, timelines, resources, and milestones.
• Scheduling tools such as MS Project, Smartsheet or similar
• Resource management
• Quality management including solution and acceptance test management
• Requirements elicitation, definition, analysis and management
• Workshop and meeting facilitation
• Business process creation, analysis, documentation and rollout
• Intermediate-level SQL and relational database modelling ability
• MS Office suite, Teams

Required experience/ knowledge:

• Minimum of 12 years relevant overall experience, and 7+ years experience as a Project Manager, across the project lifecycle.
• Experience as a business/solutions analyst, particularly the elicitation and management of requirements, requirements analysis, solution definition and implementation of business processes and business-focussed IT applications.
• Leading and managing projects with:
• Cross-functional teams,
• Predictive, adaptive/agile and hybrid project delivery approaches, practices and methods,
• Both formal/traditional and lean governance processes
• Vendor engagement and management
• Formal and structured project documentation
• Experience in the wealth management industry or related financial services is highly desired
• Experience in a professional services, or other client-facing role, would be highly regarded

Education:

• Bachelor level degree or equivalent.
• A project management certification or completion of a recognised project management course or subject is a plus.
