The Opportunity

In this pivotal role, you will help shape the company's long-term Digital Technology and Services (DTS) direction, leading the development of enterprise-wide architecture, cloud governance, and strategic architecture frameworks. Your leadership will be instrumental in aligning technology strategy with business planning and organisational goals, enabling the company's vision for an agile and connected business.

As a key member of the DTS Leadership Team, you will work closely with senior stakeholders and collaborate across DTS to support governance development, strategic alignment, and innovation. You will provide high-level strategic advice to both business and technology leaders, influence cross-business unit collaboration, and guide the evolution of technical standards and future-focused DTS capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the definition of an overall architecture for the future design of the company technology systems, including road maps, for mining and corporate domains.
  • Engage stakeholder and subject matter experts to evaluate possible technical alternatives
  • Review and analyse technical alternatives, providing assessments and recommendations considering risk and cost-benefit analysis
  • Provider internal consultancy on architectural issues, including recommendations and trade-offs across all business stakeholders
  • Review solutions to be in line with defined enterprise architecture and standards, addressing exceptions as required
  • Foster innovation by leading or supporting experimental solutions to business problems and evaluate the outcomes.

What is Required

  • Broad understanding spanning operational technologies (OT) and information technology (IT) environments, as well as ERP (Microsoft Dynamics 365), Cloud (AWS and Azure), Data Platforms (Databricks, Redshift etc.), Ingestion tools and Integration technologies.
  • Deep experience in mining and services processes, supply chains, ERP implementations
  • Extensive experience in similar roles, with deep experience in influencing through clear rationale, pragmatic engagement and exceptional communication skills
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Computer Science, Information Technology or similar
  • Experience with architecture modelling tools (i.e. Orbus)
