Role Summary

We are looking for an experienced
Senior Full Stack Developer
to join a payments-focused delivery team on a high-impact project. This role will contribute to the design, build, and optimisation of a scalable, secure, and high-performing digital platform within a complex enterprise environment.

The successful candidate will work closely with product owners, UX/UI designers, and cross-functional squads, translating business requirements into robust technical solutions while leading by example in code quality, performance, and delivery standards.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to system design and architecture, ensuring scalability, performance, and maintainability.
  • Solve complex technical problems and provide input into architectural decisions.
  • Evaluate and adopt appropriate technologies, frameworks, and tools in line with industry best practices.
  • Collaborate with product, UX/UI, and engineering teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Provide executive-level technical updates and contribute to stakeholder communications when required.
  • Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code, leading by example through code reviews.
  • Ensure adherence to quality metrics including test coverage, performance benchmarks, and code standards.
  • Monitor application performance and proactively address bottlenecks and optimisation opportunities.
  • Embed security best practices across development, including data protection, authentication, and authorisation.
  • Identify and mitigate security risks and ensure remediation of vulnerability scan findings.
  • Participate in incident resolution, root cause analysis, and post-incident reviews.
  • Ensure deployments follow standards with appropriate version control and release practices.
  • Maintain high-quality technical documentation covering designs, codebase, and deployment processes.
  • Promote innovation, continuous improvement, and evolving the platform to meet business and customer needs.

Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience solving complex technical problems in large-scale digital environments.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • 5+ years' experience in senior technical roles delivering enterprise digital solutions.
  • Strong
    Full Stack development experience
    including
    / React
    ,
    Java (v17+)
    , and
    Spring Boot
    .
  • Experience working with
    Docker
    and
    Kubernetes
    in production environments.
  • Strong experience building and consuming
    APIs
    across multiple channels (web, mobile, apps, chatbots).
  • Solid understanding of
    microservices architecture
    ,
    design patterns
    , and
    integration patterns
    .
  • Experience working on platforms that directly impact customer experience.
  • Experience with
    AWS
    (desirable).
  • Exposure to
    Kogito
    ,
    BPMN
    , or workflow engines (desirable).
  • Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as
    Datadog
    (desirable).
  • Tertiary qualification in Information Technology or a related discipline.
  • Strong stakeholder management, collaboration, and vendor engagement skills.
  • Analytical, structured problem solver with a growth mindset and delivery focus.
