About the role

Kenilworth Hall Show & Recreation Grounds Association Inc. is seeking a part-time Groundsman to join our team in Kenilworth, QLD 4574. In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for maintaining the grounds and facilities of our community event space, ensuring it remains in pristine condition for all visitors and events.

What you'll be doing

1. Performing regular grounds maintenance tasks such as mowing, edging, weeding, minor landscaping, as well as general building maintenance and tap repairs.
2. Maintain a clean and presentable park including sites, common areas, park tables, rodeo arena, basketball/outdoor gym, canteen, hall, dump points and associated areas.
3. Assisting guests to sites when required
4. Facilitate with the set-up and pack-down of events and functions held on the grounds
5. Monitoring and reporting on the condition of the grounds and facilities
6. Liaise with caretaker and management team to address any issues or maintenance requirements

What we're looking for

1. Experience in gardening, landscaping, and or grounds maintenance
2. Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team
3. Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards. Ability to look after equipment and maintain.
4. Good physical fitness and the ability to perform manual labour tasks, including lifting. A doctors medical fit certificate maybe required.
5. Excellent communication and customer service skills
