Level 2 - $90,851.83 per annum ($45.98 per hour) + 5 Weeks' Annual Leave
9-Day Fortnight Roster - 6am-3pm Monday- Friday (Rostered Day Off every Fortnight)

The Role
Play a vital role in effectively keeping the Town's Parks and Open Spaces irrigated
Reporting into the Leading Hand - Irrigation, the Irrigation Technician is responsible for the following:
- Supporting with daily maintenance programs and reporting
- Efficiently completing scheduled testing, maintenance, and repairs
- Safely operating plant equipment
- Maintain high service standards for our irrigation systems
- Complying with Work Health and Safety regulations
- Ensuring proper record-keeping of corporate documentation
Irrigation testing and maintenance also form part of the duties of the Irrigation Technician (as operationally required) within sporting fields, ovals, neighbourhood parks and public open spaces within Port Hedland.
The areas consist of ovals, neighbourhood parks and sports grounds, as well as various community facilities, landscaped areas and entry statements. You will be working within the irrigation team operating both centrally controlled and standalone irrigation systems.
Work Related RequirementsThe preferred applicant will be required to undergo a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol assessment to be considered for the role, as well as possess:
- Demonstrated experience or formal qualification in the design, installation and maintenance of commercial irrigation/park management systems
- Experience with re-use water
- National Police Clearance
- Current 'C' class drivers licence
- Rights to work in Australia
- White Card
