QHDC is Australia's leading supplier and manufacturer of Shopping Trolleys, we support major supermarket, hardware and liquor retailers.

We also offer a complete mobile maintenance service to our customers at their stores.

We are searching for energetic team members to assist with the repair and maintenance of shopping trolleys, Based in Melbourne, servicing Victoria and with interstate travel.

5am early morning starts are normal. 9.5 hour days (home to home).

You will be provided with a company Van. All tools and work related expenses are covered by us.

The Job requires you to travel whilst you service stores outside of your general area. Generally trips away are up to 7-10 days in length and typically are 1-2 times a month.

When you are away all accommodation is covered and an additional daily allowance of $80 is provided on top of your hourly rate.

All training will be provided. This represents a fantastic opportunity for someone who has no industry experience who is looking for a start in a new career.

This role requires a self-motivated person with the ability to work with the team as well as work independently without supervision. You must have the ability to identify, investigate and rectify maintenance issues swiftly and professionally.

The Ideal candidate is someone who is handy with hand tools but doesn't necessarily have any previous experience in trolley maintenance.

You must be okay with travel and being away from home.

Key responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate effective decision-making skills.
  • Ensuring Work Health and Safety as a priority with a strong safety focus and high-quality standards.
  • Regular Travel away will be required to fulfil this role.

The successful candidates will have the following:

  • Physically fit.
  • Ability to operate hand tools. Impact Driver is our main tool.
  • Sound attention to detail and a positive, proactive approach to all tasks.
  • Ability to work unsupervised and show initiative and also work as part of a team.
  • Punctuality, reliability, honesty. with good time management skills.
  • Professional presentation and a confident and personable manner.
  • Current Australian Driver's Licence.
  • Fluent written and spoken English.

  • Immediate start

  • $28 per hour during Initial 6 month training period.
  • $31 per hour once trained.
  • Additional $80 per day when away from home.
  • 4 weeks annual leave, 10 days Personal/sick leave

  • Work Vehicle ( Van ) provided and operating expenses covered.
  • All tools provided.
