Te Kōwhiringa | The Opportunity 

Our Social Infrastructure and Citizens Services team has an opportunity for Cleaners to join the Metro Trains Melbourne (MTM) team located in VIC. You will deliver high-quality cleaning and sanitisation services across the MTM rail network, which includes a fleet of over 460 three-carriage trains that run on a network consisting of 15 lines.

This position involves working unsupervised to provide a high-quality cleaning service. The position involves manual handling and lifting and may require you to stand and/or walk for lengthy periods. You will also be working in varying temperatures and weather conditions, and noisy environments at times due to working near trains and trams. 

A number of casual night shift opportunities (8pm to 3am Monday to Friday) are available around Melbourne's Outer suburbs.

We are looking to fill position in the following areas:

• Northeast Area – Macloed and Hurstbridge

• North Area - Broadmeadows, Craigieburn, Mernda and Epping

• Southeast Area - Ringwood, Bayswater, Upper Ferntree Gully and Glen Waverley

• South Area – Kananook & Frankston

• East Area – Sunbury, Watergardens & Calder Park

Nga pūkenga matua | Important Skills (experience required)

• Desire to work in a fast paced, challenging environment, where you will work as part of a high-performance team focused on working safely and diligently.

• Having strong Communication and Customer Service skills

• Previous Cleaning Experience is preferrable but not essential

• Rail Industry Worker (RIW) Card desirable but not necessary

• Must have Current National Police Check (within twelve months from date of issue)

• Candidates having their own transportation will be prioritized.
