Dermatology Practice Nurse

Frontier Dermatology is a dynamic patient-focused practice in Charlestown. We are at the forefront of evidence-based dermatology, offering specialised medical, surgical, and cosmetic services. Our staff are valuable and integral members of our team.

We are seeking an experienced nurse to join our supportive and trusted group of local dermatologists for two shifts / week.

Shift hours:

Monday - 11:00 am – 3:00 pm

Friday - 9:00 am – 1:00 pm

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Commitment to providing exceptional patient care and safety
• Maintaining confidentiality of all practice and patient information
• Patient assessment and education
• Assisting with surgical procedures, administering local anaesthetic injections, removal of sutures, wound care, and aftercare
• Assisting with other dermatology treatments such as allergy patch testing and UVB phototherapy
• Maintaining and sterilising equipment
• Use of Xestro medical software
• Work closely with administrative staff to manage triaging and patient flow
• Supporting flexibility in practice staffing arrangements

Qualifications, experience and attributes:

• Appropriate tertiary qualification and registration
• Dermatology, plastic surgery, skin cancer or laser/IPL experience is desirable but not essential
• Enthusiasm for learning progressive techniques in medical and cosmetic dermatology
• Exceptional organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise, multi-task, work independently and collaboratively
• Professional presentation with excellent communication skills
• High attention to detail and accuracy

Remuneration will depend upon experience and skill level

Availability for additional cover during periods of staff sickness is desirable

Future opportunities may arise for cosmetic nursing responsibilities
