The Opportunity
The Recreation and Open Space Department is looking for an appropriately qualified Senior Recreation and Open Space Projects Officer x 2. Reporting to the Coordinator Recreation and Open Space Projects, this role is integral to supporting and coordinating the delivery of sport, recreation and open space projects across the municipality.

• Communication, Consultation and Advocacy
• Capital Works Planning
• Project Coordination and Implementation
• Promotion and Advocacy

About You
To be considered for this role, you will have the following:

• Tertiary qualification in recreation management, sports administration or a similar discipline.
• Demonstrated experience in the provision of sport and recreation services and facilities in a local government setting
• Experience in capital works projects across the project life, including project proposal, scope, planning and design, funding, delivery and management.
• Demonstrated experience in working with diverse and challenging communities, including working closely with community sporting and recreation clubs/organisations.
