About the role
Band 2 Role - Salary from $67,000 + Super (salary offering to be discussed with the successful candidate in line with skills and experience)
We're looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Category Administrator to join our Commercial team at TasNetworks. In this key support role, you'll help ensure the smooth and efficient operation of procurement and financial processes — with a particular focus on accurate purchasing, invoicing, and payment activities.
You'll play a crucial part in maintaining compliance, supporting supplier engagement, and enabling seamless collaboration across our Contracts Delivery and Commercial teams. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their career in procurement, commercial administration, or operational support within a fast-paced and regulated industry.
About you
To succeed in this role, you'll ideally have:
- A certificate or diploma in Business Administration or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
- Prior experience in an operational or contracting environment, ideally within the power distribution or another regulated industry
- Basic understanding of invoice handling, purchase orders, and supplier relations—preferably from an administrative or commercial support role
- Experience using SAP, Concur, and JIRA (highly desirable)
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word for data reporting and documentation
- Exceptional attention to detail, with the ability to ensure full compliance in data entry and record keeping
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a professional approach to liaising with internal stakeholders and external suppliers
