PERSONAL CARE WORKER

About Us

Southport Lodge is a unique 36-bed privately-owned Aged Care Facility, on the Gold Coast.

We are looking for experienced Personal Care Workers who have an affiliation with the older generation, empathy for the challenges this presents, and an understanding of the support required by our Residents

The positions we are offering include a variety of shifts, with the support and encouragement of an experienced management team.

Applicants must have the following:

Essential

  • Certificate III or higher in Individual Support/Aged Care,
  • Current vaccinations
  • Current National Police Certificate, and willingness to complete a statutory declaration if required.
  • Reliability, flexibility and ability to work as a positive team member

Desirable

  • Understanding of Aged Care and resident rights and responsibilities
  • High level of customer service skills
  • Ability to demonstrated resident advocacy, ensuring dignity for residents
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills
  • Ability to follow directives as per care plan
