We'll be honest — finding the right Accountant here in Gladstone has been a challenge So we're excited to offer a unique opportunity for the right person.

Your Choice: Relocate or Hybrid

We're offering two options to suit the right candidate:

Option 1: Full Relocation

We will relocate you to Gladstone and you'll join us full-time in our office.

Option 2: Hybrid Role

Live in Rockhampton and work a hybrid arrangement, with all return travel between Rockhampton and Gladstone fully paid. You'll attend the office 2–3 days per week and work from home on the remaining days.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced accountant who enjoys client interaction, has strong technical tax knowledge, and thrives in business tax compliance work.

We are flexible with the start date — the role can commence now or in the new year.

Requirements

  • Experience in a public practice accounting firm essential
  • Solid knowledge of tax preparation for individuals, partnerships, companies and trusts
  • Ability to prepare accurate workpapers, journals and financial reports in Xero
  • Good working knowledge of Xero (blue) and Xero Tax (green)
  • Strong understanding of Australian tax law, including CGT, FBT, Div 7A
  • Excellent communication and client relationship management skills
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
