Higher Function is seeking a motivated and skilled Physiotherapist to join our progressive, well-established practice in Canberra City. We offer a supportive team environment, a strong focus on clinical excellence, and opportunities for ongoing professional development.

About the Role

We're looking for a clinician with:

  • Excellent clinical reasoning and manual therapy skills, including Neurodynamics
  • Strong exercise prescription capabilities
  • Experience in Clinical Pilates (Matwork and Reformer) preferred but not essential—training provided
  • A professional, caring, and collaborative approach to patient care
  • New graduates or experienced physios welcome

You'll be working with a highly experienced team of Physiotherapists and Exercise Physiologists, treating musculoskeletal and sports injury patients in a one-on-one setting. We offer extended appointment times to support accurate diagnosis, effective treatment, and tailored self-management strategies.

Clinical Environment

  • One-on-one patient care only—no double bookings
  • Initial appointments: 60 minutes; follow-ups: 30, 45, or 60 minutes
  • Clinical Exercise sessions include Pilates-informed Matwork, Reformer, and gym-based programs
  • Privately funded patient base with strong medical referrer and community networks. We also treat DVA, Medicare CCMP, ADF Members and are NDIS registered Providers.

What We Offer

  • Competitive salary package (pay rate dependent on experience)
  • Flexible hours: full-time (4–5 days) or part-time available
  • Weekly inservices (1 hour), mentoring, and professional development sessions
  • Private treatment rooms with individual computers
  • Friendly, efficient admin support
  • Very occasional Saturday Matwork classes (approx. 2x/year). At 1.5 pay rate per hour.

Requirements

  • Degree in Physiotherapy
  • Full AHPRA registration
  • APA membership
  • Professional indemnity insurance
  • Permanent residency or citizenship
  • Full COVID-19 vaccination status
  • Strong communication and time-management skills
  • Ability to work independently and within a team
  • Health-conscious mindset and eagerness to learn
