Senior Software Engineer

Prophet builds digital clones of organisations – AI-powered, mathematical models that bring together thousands of marketing, commercial and macroeconomic data points. These models allow leaders and marketers to test strategies, run "what if" scenarios, and make confident decisions before committing resources in the real world.

About the Role

You'll play a key role joining a small but mighty engineering team collaborating closely with
Matt Winter, our CTO (ex-Google and Microsoft)
to build Prophet's systems for scale, speed, and resilience.

Your mission: design and implement backend architecture and infrastructure that's
fast, reliable, and ready for global scale
. You'll have a voice in every technical decision — from systems design and deployment to data pipelines and performance optimisation.

This is a hands-on role where you'll ship code, shape architecture, and lay the foundations for a platform built to last.

About you

You bring deep knowledge of backend architecture and cloud infrastructure with extensive experience building reliable and scalable software for multi regions. You are:

Technical Skills Required

• Golang

• Google Cloud Platform

• CI/CD & Infrastructure as Code

• Deep understanding of distributed systems, scalability, security, and long-term maintainability.

  — and a belief in testing as a key part of the craft.
