Ghanem Group operates several award-winning venues in Brisbane and Melbourne, most notably the multi-award-winning Blackbird Bar and Grill, which will be opening a new Melbourne location later this year.

The menu showcases dishes like the fiery Bo Lúc Lắc and aromatic Thai-style curries, balanced by fresh, zesty flavours and artful presentation. The central bar complements this with uniquely crafted cocktails.

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Wok Chef (CDP or Junior Sous level ideally) to join our high-performing kitchen team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and wants to refine their craft in South East Asian cuisine. You'll work closely with the senior kitchen team across wok and grill sections, creating dishes that showcase bold flavour and precision technique.

• Execute dishes across wok and grill sections with speed, accuracy, and flair
• Prepare and cook authentic South East Asian dishes (Thai & Vietnamese focus)
• Maintain high standards of consistency, flavour, and presentation
• Manage mise en place and stock rotation for your section
• Uphold all food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness requirements
• Work collaboratively with the team to ensure smooth service
• Provide input into menu development and specials when required
• Assist in training and supporting junior team members

• Experience as managing your own section, pans, grill or wok in a high-volume, quality kitchen
• Strong wok and grill skills, with deep understanding of Asian cooking techniques
• A passion for fresh ingredients, balance of flavour, and presentation
• Calm and organised under pressure, with great attention to detail
• Positive, team-oriented attitude and willingness to learn
