Context statement

Under the National Soil Action Plan the Australian Government is partnering with the NT to support improved

soil and land management through the development of land type-based pastoral carrying capacities and an agricultural soil

industry representatives.

  1. Lead a review of available soil and land resource mapping across the Victoria River District and Alice Springs pastoral

regions and agricultural precincts in the NT.

  1. Plan, design and undertake field operations to collect soil and land resource data, ensuring adherence to NT and

Australian guidelines.

4. Synthesise, interpret and extrapolate soil landscape data and mapping and compile into technical publications and

extension material aimed at the pastoral and agricultural sectors.

  1. Supervise project team staff.

  2. Work with senior management to deliver all projects in a timely manner.

  1. Ability to work effectively with landholders and partners in a project team.
  2. An ability to undertake remote area field investigations in a small survey team.
