What you'll do... 

As a Technical Trainer you will be responsible for delivering Curriculum training, New Model Training (NMT), and Performance Improvement training to Ford Technicians across our Dealership network. You will assist Dealers with Technical Training Plans for Technicians, help review technical training and course materials, provide in-depth instruction to technicians on Ford vehicle systems, and overall support the Technical Training program to meet training requirements and targets.

We have opportunities across Melbourne, NSW and Brisbane. All roles will be based onsite at our training centers.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Deliver Technical Training, Curriculum training, New Model Training (NMT), and Performance Improvement training across Australia and NZ.

  • Deliver FRTFT courses in support of net Promoter Score (NPS) targets.

  • Review technical training materials and market relevant adjustments to retain a high quality of technical training course material.

  • Prepare training classrooms and work bay readiness before conducting classroom training, including preparation of teaching aids, tools and equipment, training vehicles, and administrative tasks.

  • Provide in-depth instructions to technician on Ford vehicle systems, components, and technologies, including engines, transmissions, electrical systems, brakes, suspension, and steering by following IMG curriculum.

  • Conduct hands-on demonstrations and practical exercises to reinforce technician knowledge of Ford vehicles.

  • Update training attendance and student completion details to ensure the training history data and learner records can be updated in the Learning Management System (STARS) and are up-to-date and accurate.

  • Support the Technical Training Supervisor and FOA/FNZ SEO Manager(s) to meet Technical Training requirements and targets and to implement new initiatives.

You'll have...

  • Training Certification III (minimum requirement), Certification IV (desirable).

  • Full Australian Drivers License.

  • Previous experience/roles in the Technical Training arena would be an advantage

  • Strong presentation and facilitation skills, with the ability to engage and motivate trainees through interactive learning activities and demonstrations.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
