Experienced cabler

We are on the lookout for an experienced Telecommunications Technician to join our field team. This role involves hands-on work with both underground and aerial networks, covering everything from installation to troubleshooting. You'll be contributing to essential infrastructure while working alongside a skilled and supportive crew.

What You'll Be Doing

• Reviewing plans, drawings and site specifications to determine the layout and connection points for installations
• Identifying and diagnosing faults using testing equipment such as voltmeters, ohmmeters, ammeters and transmission tools
• Installing and securing cabling for data, fibre optic and computer systems
• Connecting cables to devices, appliances and network equipment
• Repairing, replacing or adjusting defective parts, then re-testing to ensure performance and safety
• Splicing and joining cables, applying protective coverings and sealing with appropriate materials
• Installing and configuring telecommunications equipment, including switchboards, handsets and other network devices

What We're Looking For:

• At least 5 years' practical experience in cabling, scoping, or related telecommunications work

• Solid understanding of NBN networks (preferred)

• White Card (mandatory)

• MR/HR Truck Licence (highly desirable)

• Ability to work independently and within a team environment

• Strong focus on quality and safety standards

Pay: $70,000.00 – $90,000.00 per year
