The opportunity
Reporting to the Operations Manager, this role is responsible for leading the Care Team in delivering therapeutic supports for Children and Young People.
Key responsibilities include:
- Provide therapeutic support to children and young people with complex needs.
- Lead Care Teams to ensure safe, supportive, and trauma-informed care environments, embedding person-centred and culturally responsive practice.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop tailored intervention strategies, including positive behaviour support and care/case planning.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, facilitating referrals, managing transitions, and ensuring placement stability.
About you
You will bring:
- Tertiary qualification in social work, psychology, occupational therapy, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience delivering therapeutic support to children and young people.
- Strong cultural awareness and commitment to trauma-informed, person-centred practice, particularly with Aboriginal children and families.
- Resilient, confident, and pragmatic when managing complex situations.
