Senior Project Manager – Higher Education

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead and deliver two concurrent, business-critical projects within a leading university. This role requires a proven professional who can engage diverse academic and business stakeholders, drive policy and process change, and ensure adoption of technology-enabled solutions in a complex environment.

THE ROLE:

  • Deliver both projects to scope, budget, and schedule, applying strong project management discipline and governance.
  • Drive process change, adoption, and business readiness across diverse academic and operational environments.
  • Manage complex stakeholder groups including technical staff, academics, researchers, and senior business leaders.
  • Provide clear project reporting, risk and issue management, and ensure alignment with institutional strategy.
  • Collaborate with IT, compliance, and business teams to deliver sustainable outcomes.
  • Apply best practice in change, communication, and stakeholder engagement to support adoption.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Extensive experience as a Senior Project Manager delivering enterprise-wide business and technology projects in higher education or similarly complex environments.
  • Previous experience in Higher Education highly sought after.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with strong governance, risk, and delivery frameworks.
  • Strong capability in business process change, adoption, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to influence across academic and business settings.
  • Proven track record in managing vendors, internal teams, and external partners to achieve project outcomes.
  • Highly organised, adaptable, and resilient in fast-paced environments.
