Start Your Career in a Hands-On, Essential Trade
Are you passionate about building a career in plumbing and ready to take the first step toward becoming a licensed professional?
We're seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Apprentice Plumber to join our Council team. In this structured apprenticeship, you'll gain hands-on experience maintaining and constructing water and sewer infrastructure, all while working alongside experienced tradespeople and completing formal training through a Registered Training Organisation (RTO). This is your opportunity to develop practical skills that will serve you for a lifetime—while helping keep our community running.
As an Apprentice Plumber, you'll play an active role in a wide variety of projects—from assisting with the installation and repair of essential water systems to learning how to interpret plans and identify plumbing faults. You'll also take part in important safety training, gain experience in testing and inspecting systems, and learn the correct use and care of tools and equipment. With a strong focus on on-the-job learning, you'll be supported every step of the way by our skilled team and complete your off-the-job study requirements with guidance and encouragement.
To thrive in this role, you'll need to bring physical stamina, a commitment to safety, and a genuine interest in plumbing. Whether you've just finished Year 12 or have spent time in the workforce and are looking for a new direction, we want to hear from you. You'll need a White Card (or be willing to get one), a current NSW Class C Driver Licence, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. Bonus points if you've completed pre-apprenticeship training or have experience in a related field
This isn't just a job—it's a chance to build a rewarding career, contribute to your local community, and become part of a team that values resilience, responsibility, and growth. If you're ready to roll up your sleeves, learn the ropes, and make a real impact, apply now to start your journey as an Apprentice Plumber with Council.
