Pharmacy assistant

We have a full-time opportunity for a Pharmacy Assistant/ Technician to join our team in our very suburban, local pharmacy.

This position would suit an organised, mature minded person with the ability to work as part of a team, efficiently & autonomously; some essentials are good communication skills, friendly telephone manners & the ability to multitask whilst maintaining a high level of professionalism. Experience in Dispensing is advantageous, however we are willing to train the right candidate.

Your role will include:

• Supporting the Pharmacist in the dispensing of prescriptions. (dispensing experience preferred but not necessary)
• Educating & counselling patients in the use of Medicines & associated medical equipment (training provided)
• Pharmacy compliance administration tasks
• Processing sales & customer service
• Processing incoming stock orders
• Welcoming & directing customer traffic flow in store, over the phone & on-line
• Local deliveries

Skills & Experience:

• 1 year experience as a Pharmacy Assistant preferred, but not essential

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on customer care

• Excellent computer skills

• A positive & professional attitude to engage a whole team approach

• Strong personal work ethics

• Being flexible & motivated

• Ability to take initiative with little supervision working both autonomously & collaboratively

• An uncompromising attitude towards discretion & confidentiality

• Have sound organisational & time management skills with the ability to prioritise and reprioritise at short notice
