About the role
Vascular Surgery at Eastern Health is provided at Box Hill Hospital. Patients presenting to Angliss Hospital and Maroondah Hospital who require vascular surgery are referred to Box Hill Hospital. An outpatient clinic operates from Box Hill Hospital, seeing approximately 2100 patients per annum.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in operative procedures and patient care in vascular surgery
- Manage ward and outpatient vascular patients
- Participate in surgical audits and multidisciplinary meetings
- Take part in on-call rosters and emergency assessments
- Engage in teaching, research, and professional development
Work Environment
- Based at Box Hill Hospital

About you
Current registration with AHPRA
A minimum of three years' experience within the Australian Hospital system.
A demonstrated interest and experience in Vascular Surgery
Highly developed interpersonal and leadership experience
A strong commitment to high quality care
The ability to work as part of a diverse team
Excellent communication and organisational skills
Healthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice). Seasonal vaccination against influenza is a mandatory requirement of this role and an offer is conditional on this being up to date prior to employment.
