About Terra Verde:

Terra Verde is a joint venture between Webuild, GS Engineering & Construction (E&C) Australia, and Bouygues Construction Australia.

The joint venture combines experienced local personnel with global resources and expertise.

Terra Verde is delivering nearly 10 kilometers of parallel tunnels between Glen Waverley and Box Hill, including 39 cross passages and two station boxes at Glen Waverley and Burwood in Melbourne's eastern suburbs, as part of the Suburban Rail Loop Project.

This is the largest infrastructure project in Victoria's history, shaping Melbourne and Victoria for future generations.

About the Opportunity:

We are seeking an Inclusive Employment Senior Advisor to join our dynamic team at Terra Verde. In this critical role, you will lead and support the implementation of diversity, equity, and inclusion strategies across the project, working closely with internal teams, suppliers, subcontractors, and key external stakeholders. You will play a key part in delivering on Terra Verde's commitments to government policy outcomes, including:

  • Social Procurement Framework

  • Building Equality Policy

  • Local Jobs First Policy

This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate professional with construction experience and a strong understanding of diversity and inclusion to make a real impact.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the delivery of diversity, inclusion, gender equality, Aboriginal participation, training, and workforce development initiatives.

  • Support suppliers and subcontractors to meet policy commitments across the project lifecycle.

  • Oversee and report on the project's Gender Equality Action Plan and relevant KPIs.

  • Support compliance and reporting under relevant government frameworks.

  • Build and maintain key partnerships to enable policy delivery.

  • Provide guidance and support to internal project teams to meet policy targets.

  • Coordinate a calendar of diversity and inclusion events, workforce forums, and training sessions.

  • Develop and embed internal procedures to support inclusive employment outcomes.

  • Ensure effective engagement with external stakeholders, including community partners, SRLA, and JV members.

Key Requirements:

You are a strategic thinker with hands-on experience delivering government policy initiatives in construction. You're passionate about inclusion, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and are confident working with a wide range of stakeholders. You will also have the following:

  • Experience in the construction industry.

  • Proven experience delivering government policy requirements (e.g., Building Equality Policy, Social Procurement Framework, Local Jobs First).

  • Background in diversity and inclusion, social inclusion, or Indigenous affairs.

  • Exceptional interpersonal, influencing, and communication skills.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • Excellent time management and organisational skills.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within dynamic environments.
