Summary

We are seeking experienced Mobile Equipment Maintenance (MEM) Boilermakers to join our team on FIFO rosters supporting major mining operations in the WA Goldfields. This role is ideal for trade-qualified boilermakers who have a proven track record working on large-scale mining equipment. Success in this role means delivering high-quality repairs and maintenance, working safely and efficiently in a team environment, and contributing to the reliability of critical mobile plant assets. You will be a key part of Mader Group's commitment to providing top-tier maintenance support to our mining clients.

Responsibilities

  • Perform structural repairs on dump truck trays, buckets, and attachments to industry standards.
  • Conduct crack repairs, wear package fitting, and hardfacing.
  • Weld and fabricate in compliance with AS/NZS 1554 standards.
  • Provide routine maintenance, breakdown support, and rebuild services for large mobile mining equipment.
  • Work on equipment such as diggers, haul trucks, loaders, dozers, graders, and drill rigs.
  • Follow all site safety procedures including JHAs, Take 5s, and SWMS.
  • Collaborate effectively with site teams to meet maintenance deadlines.

Qualifications

  • Trade-qualified Boilermaker/Welder (Certificate III in Engineering – Fabrication).
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in Mobile Equipment Maintenance (MEM).
  • Proven hands-on experience with CAT, Komatsu, Hitachi, and other large mining equipment.
  • Strong background in shutdowns, breakdowns, and rebuilds.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in remote mining environments.
  • Desirable tickets: Working at Heights, Confined Space, EWP, Forklift, HRWL.
