My client is looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager with a proven track record of establishing high-performing teams and delivering complex, large-scale technology implementations. It requires someone who is able to operate in an autonomous environment and excel at navigating challenging stakeholder landscapes. Someone with a non-bank lending backgroundwho can lead the implementation of a new core lending platform

This is a permanent role based 5 days a week in the CBD office.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Leadership & Delivery:
  • Lead the end-to-end implementation of a new, complex lending platform, ensuring delivery is on time, within budget, and meets all quality objectives.
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive project plan, including detailed schedules, resource allocation, and risk management strategies.
  • Team Establishment & Management:
  • Experience establishing a strong, high-performing internal project team necessary for the implementation's success.
  • Provide strong leadership, mentorship, and guidance to the project team.
  • Governance & Reporting:
  • Establish and enforce excellent project governance frameworks, standards, and processes across the entire implementation lifecycle.
  • Manage Steering Committee meetings, providing clear, concise, and accurate reporting on project status, risks, issues, and budget.
  • Vendor Management:
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for the platform vendor, ensuring clear communication, accountability, and the timely delivery of contractual obligations.
  • Manage vendor performance, contract compliance, and escalations effectively.
  • Stakeholder Management:
  • Identify, analyse, and manage a diverse group of challenging and senior stakeholders
  • Facilitate workshops, manage expectations, and drive consensus across conflicting priorities.
  • Autonomy & Ownership:
  • Demonstrate the ability to work autonomously, taking full ownership of the project's strategy and execution with minimal supervision.
