JOB DESCRIPTION | KIOSK ATTENDANT

The Kiosk Attendant role involves delivering exceptional customer service while efficiently handling food preparation, cash transactions, and customer inquiries. You'll maintain a clean, safe, and organised workspace, ensuring that all tasks are completed in line with facility protocols and hygiene standards.

Award Agreement: Fitness Award level 1- Level 2 from 450hrs

Reports to: Facility Manager

WORK TASKS + RESPONSIBILITIES

Tasks include but not limited to:

  • Provide exceptional customer service at all times.
  • Maintain a professional appearance consistently.
  • Handle customer complaints and requests professionally.
  • Manage cash handling and operate the Square POS system effectively.
  • Perform food handling and preparation with a focus on hygiene and safety.
  • Safely operate equipment such as deep fryers, slushie machines, and coffee machines.
  • Follow workplace routines and menu recipe plans accurately.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of the Facilities Emergency Action Plan.
  • Assist with cleaning and maintenance tasks as outlined in the daily TANDA checks.
  • Support management and other employees by performing other duties as needed during shifts.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols, training requirements, and document control procedures.
  • Ensure effective communication with fellow employees and patrons.
  • Respond to customer queries promptly and courteously.
  • Report on any incidents to your direct supervisor in a timely manner.
  • Uphold honesty and integrity in all tasks, especially in cash handling and customer interactions.
  • Maintain TANDA culture.
  • Ensure your area of operation is consistently clean, friendly, safe, and organised.

This list is not comprehensive, and the Facility Manager may assign additional responsibilities as needed.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS
  • Good integrity and work ethic
  • Strong problem solving skills of complex issues
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills and a commitment to provide good customer service.
  • Ability to work under limited supervision and to demonstrate initiative when required.
INDUSTRY QUALIFICATIONS + CLEARANCES
  • Minimum age 14 (Exceptions may be made and are dependent on maturity and skill level.)
  • CPR (desirable)
  • WWCC: Paid for all employees aged 18 years and over
