With our ongoing expansion, we are seeking an experienced Pasteuriser Operator to join our pasteurising department. This role involves batching and pasteurising operations while ensuring compliance with industry regulations and quality systems. The ideal candidate will have relevant experience in the food or dairy manufacturing industry and a strong background in machinery operation and troubleshooting.
Role Overview
This hands-on position involves conducting pasteurisation, batching activities, and other related processes. The role involves working with semi-automatic and manual systems, therefore, a solid understanding of dairy technology and processing is essential.
Requirements
- Extensive experience as Pasteuriser Operator in the food or dairy industry, or other high-level technical food manufacturing roles such as cheesemaking.
- Familiarity with quality systems management and a keen eye for detail.
- Strong problem-solving skills and excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- A confident personality with a 'can-do' attitude.
- Focused and determined to meet targets on time.
- Self-motivated with a practical approach to getting work done efficiently.
- Ability to manage, prioritise, plan, and control activities effectively.
- Technically adept and comfortable working with machinery.
- The candidate must be physically fit to conduct physical work.
Eligibility:
Applicants must be Australian Citizens or Permanent Residents.
Required Skills
- Physically fit (able to stand for extended periods).
- Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
- Strong work ethic and a positive attitude.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Solid experience in batching and pasteurisation and or Cheesemaking.
Duties
- Assist in planning and executing daily operations within the pasteurising department.
- Maintain clean, presentable, and GMP-compliant facilities.
- Meet stringent QA standards and deadlines while minimising operational costs.
- Adhere to all standard operating procedures (SOPs) for current processes.
- Ensure all pasteurising activities align with the business's quality system and objectives.
Qualifications
- Preferable but not mandatory: a Degree, Diploma, or trade qualification.
- A minimum of 2 years' relevant experience.
- Knowledge of quality systems and lean manufacturing principles.
