  • Salary range: $128,169 to $137,918 p.a. (HP4Classification)
  • 4 to 6 weeks annual leave with 14%-17.5% loading
  • 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation
  • Plus Salary Sacrificing options may be available

About your opportunity

The Townsville Hospital and Health Service are currently participating in a state-wide project to implement a Crisis Support Space (CSS). The CSS is one element, of a range of crisis care options, that are being trialed across Queensland to support people experiencing mental distress and/or suicidal ideation.

Requirements:

Mandatory qualifications and proof of registration

  • For Social Work the successful applicant must hold at least a tertiary degree (or equivalent) qualification from an accredited tertiary institution in Social Work as well as eligibility for full membership to the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW).
  • For Occupational Therapy the successful applicant must hold a tertiary degree (or equivalent) qualification from an accredited tertiary institution in Occupational Therapy.
  • For Psychology the successful applicant must possess a four-year degree in Psychology (Honours, Graduate Diploma) from an accredited tertiary institution.
  • Appointment as an Authorised Mental Health Practitioner (AMHP) under the Mental Health Act 2016 would be highly desirable.
  • Drivers Licence: This position requires the incumbent to operate a class "C" motor vehicle and an appropriate licence endorsement to operate this type of vehicle is required.
