Lawyer (Graduate – 5 years PAE)

This position is for a graduate to fifth year practitioner who will have the opportunity to work in a variety of areas of law, inter alia Family Law, Child Protection, Criminal Law, Intervention Orders, Wills/Estates and Civil litigation. It is an advocacy-based role and the successful applicant will appear at Court on a regular basis, running files independently or under supervision dependent on experience.

The successful applicant will ideally have a good working knowledge of the practice and procedure of the Magistrates' Court of Victoria, as well as the Federal Circuit & Family Court of Australia, high attention to detail, an empathetic approach towards a diverse range of clients and a willingness to be part of a team.

The successful applicant will be supported by the firm in terms of mentoring by experienced practitioners and continuing professional development, including upgrading of skills and qualifications.  Support for pro bono efforts of the successful applicant, and support for involvement in professional activities such as Law Institute sections and committees is assured.
