Tax Analyst - Immediate Start - Melbourne

I'm partnering with a
national hospitality group
that's looking to add a
Tax Analyst
to their Melbourne-based finance team. This role will give you exposure across a broad tax portfolio while working in a collaborative, supportive environment.

The Role – Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with preparation & lodgement of income tax returns (Australia & NZ)
  • Support thin capitalisation & transfer pricing reporting
  • Prepare monthly tax expense & payment calculations, journal entries, and year-end tax effect accounting
  • Manage GST, PAYG-I, Excise & Interest Withholding Tax activity statements
  • Collate data & prepare Fringe Benefits Tax (FBT) returns
  • Support audits and liaise with ATO, NZ IRD, and external advisors
  • Partner with finance, payroll & operations teams to ensure compliance and accuracy

What We're Looking For:

  • 2+ years of corporate tax experience (business services or industry)
  • CA/CPA qualified
  • Strong understanding of Australian tax legislation (NZ tax knowledge a bonus)
  • Exposure to tax effect accounting highly regarded
  • Intermediate Excel, Word & PowerPoint skills
  • Analytical mindset with high attention to detail
  • Strong written & verbal communication skills
