Mō te Tūranga | About the Role
We are looking for an outstanding Guidewire Developer to join our Technology and Operations Platform Services team.
Below are some of the main responsibilities & requirements for the role:
- Flexible Work Hours: As the unit operates 365 days a year with extended daily hours, flexibility in working days and hours is essential. This includes availability for after-hours support and potential shift work.
- Technical Escalation Support: Act as a key escalation point for technical issues raised by team members, providing guidance and resolution expertise.
- Trend Identification & Process Improvement: Monitor and analyse technical trends—including emerging technologies and recurring incidents—to proactively drive service enhancements and champion improvements in resolution processes.
- Knowledge Management: Develop and maintain comprehensive incident documentation and troubleshooting guides. Contribute to initiatives that promote knowledge capture and sharing across the team.
- Second-Level Technical Support: Deliver timely and effective resolution of technical issues for business users, ensuring alignment with agreed service levels.
- Third-Level Support Liaison: Maintain active communication with third-level support teams to ensure prompt issue resolution, escalating where necessary to meet response expectations.
This is a permanent full-time role, and we welcome applicants from Ōtautahi (Christchurch) or Te Whanganui-a-Tara (Wellington)
Ōu Pūkenga | About You
- Experience in Configuration, Integration or Digital Guidewire in Guidewire PolicyCenter or BillingCenter.
- Experience in GitHub, Bitbucket, Jenkins (or similar tools)
- Working with relational databases - both database design and SQL queries
- Familiarity with OpenAPI specification & REST API's
- Proven experience in a core software development role working in an Agile environment
- Understanding of common Web Technologies
