Due to strong growth, and relocating to larger premises, Superior Engineering is looking for an experienced boilermaker/ fabricator/ welder, to join their team, in their new headquarters at Burpengary, North Brisbane, QLD (roughly 1hr north of Brisbane City).

Superior Engineering has become one of the best-known, Premium 4X4 Accessories and 4WD Suspension auto-parts manufacturers and suppliers, in Australia and around the world. We manufacture and supply a huge range of 4X4 products, accessories and suspension parts for almost every type of four wheel drive vehicle on the market.

The Role

The duties include but not limited to general fabrication, mig welding, lathe/mill operation, brake and press work. The right candidate must be able to work with jigs as a large amount of our work is based around jigs.

Welding skills using MIG must be exceptional, must be able to weld in circles and around pipe. General material from 3mm to 32mm thick. Mild steel to and including Bisalloy and other similar materials.

A welding test will be performed during the interview.

About You

Applicants must have extremely neat welding skills with pulse mig welders. Able to work in a fast-paced environment, work unsupervised, has initiative and self-motivated to exceed in their position. Previous applied applicants may re-apply.

The Application

Normal hours are Monday to Friday from 6am to 3.30pm which includes overtime hours and penalty rates. Saturdays are required from 6am to 11pm  which is paid at overtime rates.

This is a Permanent Full-Time position with a 6-month probation period. Starting date is immediate. Remuneration is dependant on age, experience and if the applicant is trade certificate qualified.
