About the role:

We are looking for a compassionate Clinical Nurse Manager to join our team at CraigCare Ascot Waters on a permanent full-time basis, working Monday to Friday. CraigCare Ascot Waters is a premium residential aged care home that provides personalised care for up to 164 residents.

As the Clinical Nurse Manager, you will play a key role in developing and implementing procedures to meet each resident's clinical and care needs, while also maintaining clear communication with their families. Reporting to the Home Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient delivery of clinical care and acting as a clinical lead for all nursing care matters.

Your leadership experience will be crucial, as you will also be required to act as the Duty Manager in the absence of the Home Manager. This will involve leading interdisciplinary teams to provide best practice, person-centred care that upholds the dignity and respect of our residents.

What you will do:

• Encourage each resident and their representative's involvement in the development and implementation of care plans.
• Support residents and their families by efficiently addressing queries, comments, suggestions, or concerns.
• Ensure care provided to every resident is evidence-based and best practice, and reflected in accurate documentation with appropriate strategies implemented.
• Deliver on all clinical governance reporting and requirements.
• Manage, support, mentor and monitor the clinical care team in the provision of the highest quality care.
• Participate in recruitment, replacement and assessment of employees, as required.
• Maintain current knowledge of legislated and best practice requirements and changes.
• Maintain and adhere to quality systems and processes to ensure our home is compliant with all standards, as mandated by ACSQC.

Essential requirements

To be successful in this role you will require a minimum of 3-5 years' experience in a clinical management role within the residential aged care industry, including:

• A tertiary qualification (Bachelor or higher) in Nursing and AHPRA registration.
• A continuous improvement focus.
• A strong understanding of Aged Care Quality Standards and quality management systems.
• Working knowledge and understanding of AN-ACC.
• Current AHPRA registration.
• Current NDIS check clearance
• Valid work rights in Australia,
