Mechanics and Trade Assistants

About the role

TML Transport is seeking experienced Mechanics, Trailer Mechanics and Trade Assistants for our new afternoon shift due to our growing business. Come join our dynamic team at our Two Wells depot. As a Mechanic or Trade Assistant, you will play a vital role in maintaining and repairing our fleet of commercial vehicles, ensuring they are running safely and efficiently to support our logistics operations. This role offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and contribute to the success of our rapidly expanding company.

What you'll be doing

1. Diagnosing, repairing and servicing a range of commercial vehicles, including trucks and trailers
2. Conducting scheduled maintenance and inspections to identify and address any issues
3. Collaborating with the team to resolve more complex mechanical problems
4. Maintaining accurate records and documentation of all repair and maintenance activities
5. Adhering to all health, safety and quality standards to ensure a safe working environment
6. Providing support and guidance to junior members of the team as required

What we're looking for

1. Relevant trade qualifications, such as a Certificate III in Automotive Mechanical Technology or equivalent.
2. Demonstrated experience as a Mechanic or Trade Assistant in the automotive industry, preferably with heavy vehicles
3. Strong technical knowledge and problem-solving skills to diagnose and repair a variety of mechanical issues
4. Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues
5. Commitment to workplace health and safety and a proactive approach to continuous improvement
6. A valid driver's licence and the ability to navigate the work site as required
7. HC licence or Forklift licence an advantage
