Our Engineering Strategy & Architecture team partners with clients to align technology strategy, enterprise architecture, cloud adoption, and operating models with business objectives—shaping technology-enabled transformations that deliver measurable outcomes. We lead with insight and pragmatism, translating ambition into executable roadmaps, robust architectures, and value-focused delivery models.

What will your typical day look like?
You will collaborate with client and internal Deloitte teams to design strategies, operating models, and architecture roadmaps that unlock business value. You will leverage generative AI technologies day-to-day, using Deloitte's guardrails and frameworks to ensure trustworthy outcomes.

• Project Delivery
• Shape technology strategies and enterprise/solution architectures that link business priorities to executable roadmaps, value cases, and KPIs.
• Facilitate design decisions across cloud, data, integration, security, and GenAI—balancing feasibility, risk, and speed-to-value.
• Build business cases (TCO/NPV/ROI), articulate options and considerations, and provide clear recommendations to senior stakeholders.
• Establish governance and delivery structures (e.g., architecture boards, landing zones, vendor management) to de-risk execution.
• Business Development
• Develop pursuit strategies, stakeholder maps, and value hypotheses that align to client objectives and industry trends.
• Contribute to RFP/RFQ responses, crafting win themes, orals materials, and value-led proposals with clear outcomes.
• Create thought leadership and POVs on technology strategy, cloud modernisation, and responsible GenAI to open new conversations.
• Engage alliance partners to shape differentiated solutions and accelerators for clients and sectors.
• Practice Contribution
• Codify reusable assets—reference architectures, decision frameworks, business case templates, and GenAI patterns & practices.
• Mentor juniors, promote inclusive teaming, and foster a culture of continuous learning and psychological safety.
• Support capability building across strategy, architecture, cloud, and responsible AI through training and communities of practice.
• Contribute to practice operations, learning & development, and method/tooling enhancements.

Capabilities & Experience
As a Consultant level within the Engineering Strategy & Architecture practice, you will gain experience and proficiency across these capabilities. Prior experience across these capabilities is highly valued.

• Core Consulting Capabilities
• Proposal Writing: Participate in RFP/RFQ responses, generating high-quality, tailored and value-led proposals.
• Financial Modelling (ROI/TCO): Build business cases including TCO/NPV/ROI with options and considerations.
• Strategic Thinking: Connect business strategy to actionable technology roadmaps and investment priorities.
• Communication & Facilitation: Simplify complex topics, run structured workshops, and influence senior stakeholders.
• Problem Solving: Form hypotheses, test with data, and synthesise recommendations into clear, outcome-focused narratives.
• Stakeholder Management: Build trust across business, digital, and technology leaders to drive alignment and decision-making.
• Technical Capabilities
• Delivery Management: Support planning and de-risking of scope/schedule/cost; run RAID, support governance forums, and perform business analyst / scrum master roles within delivery teams.
• Data, Integration, and Security: Understand data platforms, API-led integration, identity, and secure-by-design principles.
• GenAI & Automation: Knowledge of responsible AI governance, model/agent patterns, and platform enablement to safely scale use cases.
• Domain Exposure
• Experience in one or more sectors such as financial services, energy/utilities, public sector, health, consumer, or TMT is valued.

Nice-to-have

• Certifications: TOGAF or equivalent architecture, AWS/Azure/GCP associate/professional, and foundational AI/ML or Responsible AI credentials.
• Tooling: Experience with architecture tooling (e.g., LeanIX, Orbus), cloud design tooling, Jira/Confluence, and value-modelling tools, high proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint.
• Methods: Familiarity with SAFe/Agile delivery concepts and frameworks, FinOps, DevOps/Platform Engineering practices, and cost-optimisation approaches.
• Sector: Exposure to regulated environments and data/AI governance frameworks.
