The Role

Our Sydney office, comprising over 200 staff and 23 Partners, is seeking an IT Auditor to join our Digital Assurance and Advisory team.

Reporting to the Digital Assurance and Advisory Partners and Directors, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Perform IT General Controls (ITGC) testing to assess the design and operating effectiveness of clients' IT environments.
  • Work alongside the financial audit team to identify, evaluate, and respond to IT-related risks that may impact the financial statements.
  • Contribute to cybersecurity maturity assessments to evaluate and improve clients' security postures.
  • Participate in IT due diligence assignments for acquisitions, divestments, or restructuring, focusing on IT risks, integration challenges, and operational resilience.
  • Prepare clear, insightful, and value-adding reports for clients that highlight key findings, risks, and recommendations.
  • Liaise regularly with clients to facilitate effective communication and address queries.
  • Coach and support junior team members to aid their professional development and knowledge growth.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

  • 2-3 years of hands-on experience in IT auditing, risk management, or cybersecurity (ideally within professional services or a similar environment)
  • Strong technical understanding of ITGCs and core system processes.
  • Exposure to cloud environments, including the review and auditing of cloud-based systems
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity maturity frameworks (e.g. Australian Essential Eight, NIST), including gap analysis or supporting remediation activities
  • Experience with enterprise platforms such as Windows Active Directory, SQL databases, and ERP systems (e.g. SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics), particularly in access management, change management, and backup controls
  • Proven ability to produce clear, well-documented workpapers and client-ready reports
  • Strong communication skills for liaising with financial audit teams and client IT stakeholders
  • Progress toward professional certifications such as CISA
