Welcome to Eden Academy Junction Village, where we are a child safe organisation, committed to the safety, wellbeing and empowerment of all children.

Operating from 7:00am to 6:30pm we are looking for an experienced Kitchen Hand to join our team for 5 days a week, working 3-4 hours per day hours total).

At Junction Village we are looking for someone to support out Chef in day to day running of the kitchen. We have 7 rooms in total that caters for 130 children.  Ideally we would love someone who is happy to be in the Kitchen but also can support all the rooms with break reliefs. 

As our new Kitchen Hand, you will:

  • Support our talented chef in preparing healthy, delicious meals
  • Show commitment to maintaining a clean, safe, and well-organised kitchen environment
  • Enjoy working collaboratively as part of a supportive, team-focused setting
  • Play a key role in supporting the health and well-being of children through nutritious food.
  • Building positive relationships with staff, families, and children within the centre community.
  • Ability to lift 15kgs and be able to work with heavy equipment.
  • Complete temperate checks and have an understanding of food hygiene
  • Familiar and across all allergies and understands the important of nutrition and catering needs for children

What You'll Bring:

  • Minimum qualifications - Food Handling Certificate and Certificate 3 in Early Childhood Educator (or working towards)
  • A current Working with Children Check
  • Strong understanding of diverse dietary requirements and food sensitivities
  • Australian Working Rights
  • Impeccable personal presentation
  • Availability to work Monday to Friday - 5 days
